Quixote (I) Open Letter

Sancho Panza, who otherwise never bragged about it, succeeded, with the passage of the years, through the composition of a number of novels of chivalry and bandits, at sunset and night, away to the point of self to his demon, who then gave the name of Don Quixote, it was launched uncontrollably to the wildest adventures, which however, for lack of a default object, and that just would have required Sancho Panza did not harm anyone. Sancho Panza, a free man, he continued unmoved, perhaps due to a sense of responsibility, to Don Quixote in his adventures, thereby achieving a great and useful entertainment to an end.

Franz Kafka, "The Truth about Sancho Panza (Parable)."
